Integrated circuits (ICs) are integrated circuits. They consist of semiconductor plates on which numerous transistors, capacitors and diodes are located. By connecting these individual electrical components, the component can perform complex tasks with the specific circuit. Memory ICs are also called memory devices or chips. They are special integrated circuits that consist of a large number of memory cells. RAM (random access memory) - the main memory of a computer - should also be mentioned in this context. All programs, data and processes that are currently being executed are temporarily stored in RAM. There are now numerous RAM components - such as FRAM or DRAM - which are adapted by the manufacturers to the respective current user requirements. Flash memories are also among the memory ICs. They are designed to store information "non-volatile", i.e. permanently, and are used in server, storage and network technology - for example in USB sticks or SD cards.
