In a high-performance memory system, this decoder can minimize the effects of system decoding. When used with a high-speed memory that utilizes a fast enable circuit, the delay time of the decoder and the enable time of the memory are typically less than the memory's access time. This means that the effective system delay introduced by the decoder is negligible.
