The LM2575SX-12/NOPB regulator is a monolithic integrated circuit that provides all the active function for a step-down (buck) switching regulator, capable of driving a 1A load with excellent line and load regulation. Requiring a minimum number of external component, this regulator is simple to use and includes internal frequency compensation and a fixed-frequency oscillator. The LM2575SX-12/NOPB offers a high-efficiency replacement for a popular three-terminal linear regulator. It substantially reduces the size of the heat sink, and in many cases no heat sink is required.
