Hall Effect Sensors

Hall Effect Sensors

Certain magnetic fields can be detected with a Hall-effect sensor. This sensor type takes advantage of the Hall effect: Electrical voltage arises when the sensor, through which current flows, enters a magnetic field. The magnetic field can be constant, a condition that would not sensors equipped with a magnet and coil to detect it. Hall-effect sensors are used for floating voltage measurement, but can also be used for positioning and monitoring, and control of objects or machines in industry and logistics.
