This module provides a professional battery management system for charging and monitoring an external lead-acid battery. The connected battery is charged by the power supply and kept in the state of charge. In the event of a power failure, the battery provides the output power until the battery is discharged. To avoid overcharging the battery, an external temperature sensor automatically adjusts the battery voltage to the required end-of-charge voltage. This can extend the service life of the battery.
