The AM5749ABZXA Sitara processor is an Arm applications processor designed to meet the intense processing needs of modern embedded products, delivering high performance through the flexibility of a fully integrated mixed-processor solution. The AM574x device combines programmable video processing with a highly integrated peripheral set and includes cryptographic acceleration. Programmability is provided by dual-core Arm Cortex-A15 RISC CPUs with Neon extensions, two TI C66x VLIW floating-point DSP cores, and two Embedded Vision Engines (EVEs), allowing developers to keep control functions on the Arm CPUs separate from algorithms programmed on the DSPs and coprocessors, thereby reducing overall system software complexity.
