The MSPM0L2227SRGZR microcontrollers (MCUs) belong to the highly integrated, ultra-low-power MSPM0 family, based on the Arm Cortex-M0+ 32-bit core, running at speeds up to 32 MHz. These MCUs combine cost efficiency and design flexibility, offering 128KB to 256KB of flash memory in compact packages as small as 4 mm × 4 mm, or in higher pin count packages up to 80 pins. Key features include a VBAT backup island, an optional segmented LCD controller, advanced cybersecurity enablers, and high-performance integrated analog peripherals.

They deliver excellent ultra-low-power operation across the full temperature range. Memory-wise, these devices provide up to 256KB of embedded flash program memory with built-in error correction code (ECC), and up to 32KB of SRAM protected by ECC and parity. The flash memory is split into two main banks to facilitate field firmware updates, supporting address swapping between banks. Additionally, a 32-byte backup RAM located in the VBAT island retains data when the main power supply (VDD) is lost, powered solely by the VBAT pin.
