The MSP430FR5972IPMR is an ultra-low-power microcontroller featuring embedded nonvolatile FRAM, a 16-bit CPU, and a dedicated set of peripherals tailored for a range of applications. Its architecture-combined with FRAM technology and integrated peripherals-supports seven low-power modes, optimized to maximize battery life in portable and wireless sensing applications. FRAM is a new nonvolatile memory technology that offers the speed, flexibility, and endurance of SRAM with the stability and reliability of flash, all while operating at significantly lower total power consumption.
