The MSP430FR5723IRHAT ultra-low-power microcontroller features embedded FRAM nonvolatile memory, an ultra-low-power 16-bit MSP430 CPU, and a variety of integrated peripherals designed for versatile applications. Its architecture, FRAM memory, and peripheral set-combined with seven low-power modes-are optimized to maximize battery life in portable and wireless sensing applications.
FRAM is a nonvolatile memory technology that offers the speed, flexibility, and endurance of SRAM along with the stability and reliability of flash, all while consuming less total power. The MSP430FR5729 includes a 10-bit ADC, a 16-channel comparator with voltage reference generation and hysteresis functionality, three enhanced serial communication modules supporting I²C, SPI, or UART protocols, an internal DMA controller, a hardware multiplier, a real-time clock (RTC), five 16-bit timers, and multiple digital I/O pins.
