Data Selector/Multiplexer, SN74LS151N, Texas Instruments
This monolithic data selector/multiplexer contains full on-chip binary decoding to select the desired data source. The SN74LS151N selects one-of-eight data sources. The SN74LS151N has a strobe input which must be at a low logic level to enable the device. A high level at the strobe forces the W output high, and the Y output low. The SN74LS151N features complementary W and Y outputs. The SN74LS151N incorporates an address buffer that has symmetrical propagation delay time through the complementary paths. This reduces the possibility of a transient occurring at the output due to changes made at the select input, even when the SN74LS151N output is enabled (i.e., strobe low).
