Octal Transparent D-Type Latch, SN74HC373N, Texas Instruments
This 8-bit latch features 3-state output designed specifically for driving highly capacitive or relatively low-impedance load. It is particularly suitable for implementing buffer register, I/O port, bidirectional bus driver, and working register. The eight latches of the ’HC373 device is transparent D-type latch. While the latch-enable (LE) input is high, the Q output follows the data (D) input. When LE is taken low, the Q output is latched at the level that was set up at the D input.
