Octal Buffer, SN74ABT541BDW, Texas Instruments
The SN74ABT541BDW is an octal buffer and line driver designed for driving bus lines or buffering memory address registers. The device features inputs and outputs on opposite sides of the package to facilitate printed circuit board (PCB) layout. The device includes a 3-state control gate implemented as a two-input AND gate with active-low inputs. If either output-enable input (OE1 or OE2) is high, all eight outputs enter the high-impedance state. When VCC is between 0 V and 2.1 V, the device remains in the high-impedance state during power-up or power-down. To ensure the high-impedance state when VCC is above 2.1 V, the OE input should be tied to VCC through a pull-up resistor. The minimum value of this resistor depends on the current-sinking capability of the driver.
