LM79L05ACM/NOPB | Texas Instruments
Linear regulator, -5 V, 100 mA, negative, SOIC-8, LM79L05ACM/NOPB
Terminal Negative Regulator, LM79L05ACM/NOPB, Texas Instruments
The LM79L12AC 3-terminal negative voltage regulator features a fixed output voltage of −12 V with output current capability in excess of 100 mA. This device was designed using the latest computer techniques for optimizing the packaged IC thermal/electrical performance. The LM79L12AC, when combined with a minimum output capacitor of 0.1 μF, exhibits an excellent transient response, a maximum line regulation of 0.07% VO/V, and a maximum load regulation of 0.01% VO/mA.
The LM79L12AC also includes self-protection circuitry: safe operating area circuitry for output transistor power dissipation limiting, a temperature-independent short-circuit current limit for peak output current limiting, and a thermal shutdown circuit to prevent excessive junction temperature. Although designed primarily as a fixed voltage regulator, this device may be combined with simple external circuitry for boosted and/or adjustable voltages and currents.
