Vol. Reg. LM2674M-ADJ/NOPB
Low Component Count Step-Down Regulator, LM2674M-ADJ/NOPB, Texas Instruments
The LM2674M-ADJ/NOPB-5.0 regulator is a monolithic integrated circuit built with a LM2674M-ADJ/NOPB process. This regulator provides all the active functions for a step-down (buck) switching regulator, capable of driving a 500 mA load current with excellent line and load regulation. This device is available in a fixed output voltage of 5 V. Requiring a minimum number of external components, this regulator is simple to use and includes patented internal frequency compensation and a fixed-frequency oscillator. The LM2674M-ADJ/NOPB-5.0 operates at a switching frequency of 260 kHz, thus allowing smaller sized filter components than what is required with lower frequency switching regulators. Because of very high efficiency (> 90%), the copper trace on the printed-circuit board is the only heat sinking required.
