The LM2574HVM-5.0/NOPB regulator is a monolithic integrated circuit that provides all the active function for a step-down (buck) switching regulator, capable of driving a 0.5-A load with excellent line and load regulation. Requiring a minimum number of external component, this regulator is simple to use and include internal frequency compensation and a fixed-frequency oscillator. The LM2574HVM-5.0/NOPB offers a high-efficiency replacement for a popular three-terminal linear regulator. Because of its high efficiency, the copper trace on the printed-circuit board (PCB) is normally the only heat sinking needed.
