The 1879351-6 is manufactured by depositing a homogeneous film of metal alloy onto a high-grade ceramic body. After a helical groove has been cut in the resistive layer, tinned connecting wire of electrolytic copper is welded to the end-cap. This resistor is coated with a red, non-flammable lacquer, which provides electrical, mechanical and climatic protection.
