Variable speed drive, ATV320D18N4C, Schneider Electric
The Altivar Machine ATV320 range offers variable speed drives designed specifically for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). These drives are compact and can be stacked vertically within machine frames, optimizing space. Operating at a rated power of up to 11 kW / 15hp, the ATV320 is designed for a rated voltage range of 380V to 500V AC. Its robust design, featuring IEC 60721-3-3 class 3C3 coated printed circuit boards, ensures reliable performance in harsh environments, with the ability to function at ambient temperatures up to 60°C without additional cooling. The drive supports various applications, offering torque and speed accuracy at low speeds, high dynamic performance through flux vector control without sensors, and an extended frequency range for high-speed motors. Additionally, it supports parallel motor connections, special drives with voltage/frequency ratios, static speed accuracy, and energy-saving features for open-loop synchronous motors.
Weighing 6.8 kg, the ATV320 has dimensions of 180 mm in width, 330 mm in height, and 192 mm in depth. It is ideal for a wide range of applications, including packaging, material handling, textiles, material working, mechanical actuators, and hoisting. Conforming to IEC, UL, TUV, KC, and other international standards, the ATV320 offers flexibility with available mounting accessories and external options, including braking resistors, line chokes, motor chokes, and additional EMC filters, depending on the drive rating. The product is delivered in two packages and can be mounted vertically on a panel using four fixing holes. Fully integrated into Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure Machine, the ATV320 can be configured, controlled, and diagnosed directly via SoMachine and SoMove software using the same software brick (DTM).
