Backshell adapter, 813015-000, Raychem
The 813015-000 is a one-part assembly for screened and unscreened cable. Constructed from heat-shrinkable screened molded parts and connector adapters, this assembly consists of parts already well proven in harsh military environments. Also installation is simply effected by coupling the adapter to the connector and shrinking the rear of the molded part onto the cable with a hot air gun. The molded part has a hot-melt adhesive preinstalled to provide a bond between the cable jacket and the molded part, but when used in conjunction with shielded (screened) cable, the assembly provides electrical continuity between the cable shield and the connector with Rayaten molded parts.
