The PeakTech 4940 is a handy infrared thermometer with an excellent price-performance ratio that uses a laser to measure surface temperatures quickly, easily and accurately. The laser can be aimed at hot surfaces or moving objects, allowing the operator to easily capture the temperatures to be measured from a safe distance. The device is activated by a trigger and carries out a precise (0.1°C resolution) temperature measurement in a flash. The three function keys next to the screen toggle between °C and °F, activate the laser and the backlight of the display.
