The DF40 series board-to-board and board-to-FPC connectors feature a space-saving design that minimizes connector width while maintaining sufficient vacuum area for easy pick and place assembly. In addition to its space-saving design, multiple stack heights are available to increase versatility for any application. Stack heights - 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5 and 4 mm. Despite their small stature and low profile, the contacts provide strong contact forces and an effective mating length of 0.45 mm with a stack height of 1.5 mm. This connector features a locking system that prevents accidental disconnection and emits a distinct tactile click to ensure that the mating process is complete. The use of guide ribs allows this connector to self-align 0.33 mm. Both sides of the connector have been reinforced with additional shock-absorbing ribs. Nickel-plated barriers have been added to protect the contact areas from potential solder wick.
