Load switch, ET3158A, ETEK Microelectronics

The ET3158A advanced load management switch targets applications requiring a highly integrated solution. It disconnects loads powered from a DC power rail (<6 V) with stringent off-state current targets and high load capacitances (up to 200 µF). Each switch consists of a slew-rate-controlled, low-impedance MOSFET switch and other integrated analog features. The slew-rate-controlled turn-on characteristic prevents inrush current and the resulting excessive voltage droop on power rails. The ET3158A has a True Reverse Current Blocking (TRCB) function, blocking unwanted reverse current from OUT to IN during ON/OFF states.

The ET3158A has an exceptionally low off-state current drain (<1 µA max), which facilitates compliance in very low standby-power applications. The input voltage range operates from 1.5 V to 6.0 V DC to fulfill a wide range of applications in consumer, optical, medical, storage, portable, and industrial device power management. Switch control is managed by a logic input (Active HIGH) capable of interfacing directly with a low-voltage control signal/GPIO with no external pull-down resistor required.
