Demoboard MOSFET PDU3991.31.2
Mosfet Power Delivery Unit, 3991.31.2, Diotec
The Diotec Power MOSFETs (DI280N10TL) used in the Diotec PDU are arranged back-to-back to cut current in both directions. A parallel arrangement is utilized to boost current capability. The gates are controlled by a TLP152 gate driver. A shunt current sensor BVE-MR0002 is used to measure the current. The intended nominal current at room temperature is 80 A. An aluminum heatsink is used for cooling. A new generation of electronic relays, is Diotec‘s solid state relay (PDU). Its goal is to provide current monitoring in a compact, lightweight, and durable protection system. Connecting to live batteries and load/chargers, is simple and secure. Shunt current sensor BVE-M-R0002 with (MCP3425) a 16-Bit Analog-to-Digital Converter is used to measure the current. A high current power distribution switch (HC-PDU) on one single heavy copper printed circuit board (PCB). This reference board demonstrates an implementation of high current protection, switching up to 80 A for automotive 48 V batteries.
