The ACS715LLCTR-20A-T provides an economical and precise solution for DC current sensing in automotive systems. Its compact package allows for easy customer implementation. Typical applications include motor control, load detection and management, switch-mode power supplies, and overcurrent fault protection. The ACS715LLCTR-20A-T consists of a precise, low-offset, linear Hall-effect circuit with a copper conduction path located near the surface of the die. Current flowing through this copper path generates a magnetic field, which the Hall IC converts into a proportional voltage. Accuracy is enhanced by the close proximity of the magnetic field to the Hall transducer. A precise, proportional output voltage is delivered by the low-offset, chopper-stabilized BiCMOS Hall IC, which is factory-programmed for accuracy after packaging.
The ACS715LLCTR-20A-T is provided in a compact, surface-mount SOIC8 package. The leadframe is plated with 100% matte tin, making it compatible with standard lead (Pb)-free printed circuit board assembly processes. Internally, the device is Pb-free, with the exception of flip-chip high-temperature Pb-based solder balls, which are currently exempt from RoHS requirements. The device is fully calibrated prior to shipment from the factory.
