Pneumatic Pressure Switches

Pneumatic Pressure Switches

Simply put, pneumatic pressure switches trigger an electric contact as soon as a pre-determined pressure has been reached. This conversion of pneumatic pressure impulses into electrical signals gave rise to the name pneumatic-electrical signal converters (PE converter). The advantage of special magnetic designs is that the switching action is not triggered by a mechanical contact, but by magnetic forces, extending the switch’s service life significantly. Pressure switches can perform switching when pressure increases or decreases. Depending on their connection, they are used as openers, closers, or changers. Pneumatic pressure switches are built into electrical garage doors to carry out a protective function. As soon as a defined pressure is reached as the door closes – when a person is caught in the door, for example, the pressure switch forces the door to open.
