Bürklin delivers: Repositioning for the 70th anniversary.

Oberhaching, 15/04/2024: Just in time for its 70th anniversary, Bürklin is shining in new colours: with a repositioning and a modern brand identity that are clearly geared towards the future, the high-service distributor for electronic components is bringing sustainability and digitalization to life.

Utilising its own strengths to develop strategically and culturally: with this plan, Bürklin is now actively shaping the future of electronics distribution after 70 years of success. The brand is highly regarded by customers: always close at hand, not least thanks to its central location in Europe. ‘We have always been a reliable and competent partner and our customers appreciate that. In order to continue to be the first choice of our suppliers and customers, we have sharpened our positioning,’ says Veronika Tretter, partner of the family-owned company in Oberhaching.

Progressive: Sustainable and digital.

Bürklin has teamed up with Munich-based brand consultancy and creative agency Truffle Bay to reposition itself and refresh the iconic elements of the brand. An ambitious purpose was developed for the brand, which also stands for the company's long-term goal. ‘We want to continue to score points with a top product selection and reliability while constantly evolving. Our aim is to shape the future of electronics distribution sustainably and digitally,’ says Jürgen Lampert CEO.

The commitment to sustainability is being continuously expanded: Since January 1st 2024, Bürklin has been offsetting all CO² emissions caused by shipping goods for all customers worldwide. Customers are increasingly focussing on sustainable products, which is why Bürklin is paying particular attention to listing these product lines from strategic manufacturers when expanding its product range. Bürklin already has an almost completely climate-neutral supply of electricity from renewable energy sources. The company is also investing in its own climate-stable mixed forest, as trees are one of the best ways to actively contribute to climate protection.

Bürklin demonstrates digital excellence with two flagship products: the newly created best-in-class webshop buerklin.com and its smart eProcurement service. The aim is to use digitalisation to the benefit of suppliers, customers and employees by automating and optimising processes to create efficiencies.

Striking: the new brand identity.

‘Our new brand identity is full of dynamism, much more digital and at the same time clearly people-centred,’ says Pirjo Niemi CMSO about the new design. The corporate design has been revised with a view to digital communication. The logo and brand colours are now striking, progressive and powerful. The new brand font expresses the digital-electronic self-image of the brand. A new, dynamic visual world makes communication more emotional and Bürklin topics clearer and more tangible. In addition to the visual brand refresh, the communication strategy was also sharpened. With clear, solution-orientated messages, Bürklin addresses the needs of its customers in a targeted manner in order to generate even more relevance.
