The MD 116 is a non-contact voltage tester that has a visual, audible and a vibrating indicator. It comes complete with a pocket clip. It is easy to use and is an indispensable tool for do-it-yourselfers and professionals. The MD 116 can detect live wires in splices, cable plugs, cable drums, outlets, switches and junction boxes. The function of the MD 116 is tested automatically after switching on. No additional key is required. It supports switching between low and high sensitivity (12 / 90 V AC) and has an integrated LED flashlight for working in the dark. The Metrel MD 116 uses a capacitive measurement method. Unlike inductive measurements, no current flow is required.
