The 2017 series of compact electronic DC loads, EA-EL 3000 B, is the second generation of small bench loads with 400 W nominal power. It offers new rated voltages and currents for everyday laboratory, school or workshop use. The devices support four control modes: constant current (CC), constant voltage (CV), constant power (CP) and constant resistance (CR). In addition, the fast, processor-based control unit offers a number of in- teresting features, such as a function generator that can generate common functions such as square, triangle or ramp. The color display, together with a keypad and two rotary knobs, enables an intuitive way of operation and better clarity.

Digital interfaces (USB, Ethernet) are available as optional accessories, as is an analog interface. All are galvanically isolated. Remote control and integration into user-specific test software is facilitated by common communication protocols such as SCPI and ModBus RTU, as well as ready-to-use LabView modules.
