An operating hours counter, also called a runtime counter, is a device that measures and records the operating hours of a machine or system. It records the time a machine or equipment is in operation, usually in hours and/or minutes.
Some hour meters count continuously, while others can be reset to zero. There are also digital models that offer additional features, such as recording start and stop times, recording partial run times, and storing data for later analysis.
