Resettable PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient)-fuses are protective components that open independently when overcurrent or overheating occurs, interrupting the current flow. They are made of a material whose resistance increases significantly when heated, thereby limiting the current flow. After cooling, the fuse returns to its original state and re-establishes the connection. These fuses are used in power supplies, chargers, telecommunications equipment and automotive applications.
