These devices have a split ring core of ferrite. If a cable is identified as a possible source of interference, it is often possible to thread it retrospectively through an individual ferrite core. To achieve an optimum effect, it is essential the core inner diameter is not significantly larger than the cable outer diameter – so welded-on connection plugs are a handicap here. Split ring cores however can be added at any time. These are available in various sizes for round and flat cables. They are simply opened and secured behind the connector. The ferrite core is then protected with a plastic enclosure. The secure snap fastenings ensure that the effect of the core is not affected. Whatever the required application, our range of split cores has the right cores, in various different forms.
