Rotary solenoids

Rotary solenoids

The rotary solenoid’s function is very similar to that of the drive shaft in an electric motor. Its working stroke is rotary in nature. Its shaft does not rotate continuously, however, but covers a precise, previously defined turning angle of up to 95° clockwise or anti-clockwise from the middle position. This characteristic allows very precise mechanical setting process with extremely high repeat accuracy. Depending on solenoid design, relatively large forces can be transferred. Rotary solenoids find use in machine tools, office, packing, and textiles machines, as shutters for lasers and optical devices, and in regulation and control technology.
