Displacement transducers are used when movements in the axial direction must be clearly determined. Our displacement transducers function according to the principle of a potentiometer sensor. A jockey moves on the resistance track and, depending on its position, returns a different resistance value. Downstream electronics thus allow the position of an object or machine to be determined. These sensors are used in measuring and process technology, for transmission control in automotive technology – such as in the chassis monitoring – and even model-making, in which servomotors use installed displacement transducers for angle measurement.
