The Banana Pi single-board computer was created by the Chinese education initiative Lemaker.org. Compared to large desktop computers it is exceptionally low-priced and compact. Its flexibility in use facilitates everyday tasks. Thanks to a powerful ARM7 dual-core chip, a graphics processor and many available ports, it is a complete mini-PC ready for immediate use. For operating systems it offers for instance specially tailored versions of Linux or Android. Thanks to its open system architecture, the computer can be used for your own projects and thus allows development of equipment control applications.
